Quote for today

Labor day? Already?

Where did the summer go????? Wrapped up with the Day-Care,my Grandchildren and all the other blessings the Lord has sent me made the time just fly by.
The second summer without my Mom.I miss here dreadfully and still go to the phone to call her :(

My close friend Denise is battling a very agressive form of cancer and that has kept me busy as well.Helping out as needed as well as caring for her eight year old son when she's at chemo or just feels lousey. Her next treament is Tuesday. The Dr. warned her that her hair will start to fall out shortly after this treatment. She took it like a real trooper and went and bought a really funky wig....lol.....It is what it is and we have have to make the best of it.God is in control and He never makes mistakes.

My son,his wife and baby Trey are coming for Labor Day week-end.I can't wait.....what a blessing that baby is!All children are of course.....but most people take getting pregnant for granted .But when it takes so very long to concieve, test after test and no real answers as to why conception just is'nt happening when it does happen it's truly a miracle from God.A testimony of His faithful to His children As we are faithful to Him,He will be faithful to His children!

May you all have a bless ed week!.......

If I Had My Life to Live Over
==============================

I would have gone to bed when I was sick
instead of pretending the earth would go into
a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose
before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner
even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room
and worried much less about the dirt
when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen
to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up
on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and
sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my children
and not worried about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television
and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was
practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a
lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy,
I'd have cherished every moment and realized
that the wonderment growing inside me
was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously,
I would never have said, "Later.
Now go get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more "I love you's."
More "I'm sorry's"...But mostly, given another shot at life,
I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it...
live it...and never give it back.

Stop sweating the small stuff.
Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more,
or who's doing what.

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have
with those who Do love us.

Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with...
and what we are doing each day to promote ourselves
mentally, physically, emotionally, as well as spiritually.

Life is too short to let it pass you by.

We only have one shot at this and then it's gone.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

BLESSINGS

Blessings
He gives me beauty for ashes
The oil of joy for mourning.
He drives all my fears away
He turns my morning into dancing.

He's the apple of my eye
My soul He will keep
He always makes me smile
He watches over me as I sleep.

He gives me peace in times of trouble
He loves me unconditionally
He fills my life with greater joy
He blessed me with life abundantly.

A new way He has shown me
His love I will make known
He planted my feet on a rock to stay
He found me and called me His own!

FEWER WORDS

Fewer Words

The fewer the words, the better the prayer.

BECAUSE HE LIVES......

Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

~ William and Gloria Gaither ~

Psalm 23

The Lord Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. [1]
3 He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness [2]
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [3]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely [4] goodness and mercy [5] shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell [6] in the house of the Lord
forever. [7]
